Blueberry Smoothie

As with most recipes, I didn’t create this myself. In scrolling TikTok when I should be doing something productive with my life I found the account Baked by Melissa. One, I recommend the whole account. She’s a trip and her recipes are easy and delicious. Two, this smoothie alone is worth the price of your time.

Melissa’s Smoothie

  • 1 banana
  • 2 cups frozen blueberries
  • a splash of vanilla
  • a dash of salt (I use course kosher)
  • 2 tablespoons of Tahini (yes, use it)
  • about two inches of water – more if needed

Now, I have a Vitamix, so it blends smoothly. No idea if it would work that well with all blenders. While I do enjoy tahini, I doubted I would like it in a smoothie and couldn’t figure out how the flavors would go together. It is fabulous. Don’t doubt it, try it now.
