TikTok has had several unexpected blessings in my life, one being the discovery of new recipes. The one below is from @bonappeteach on there. She has the ingredients for a double batch, but I’ve reduced it to 12 sliders below.
These are far and away my husband’s favorite dinner right now. He loves them so much I made a double batch for my birthday and those sliders were gone fast.
Recipe is for 12 sliders, but can easily be doubled for 24.
- 12 Hawaiian Rolls
- 1 lb. Ground Beef
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1 packet French Onion Soup Mix
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 6 slides American cheese
- Pickles
- 1 tbsp melted butter
Preheat the oven to 350.
Brown the hamburger over medium with the onions and seasoning packet. Drain. Return to skillet. Add in the shredded cheddar and mayo. Mix.
Take two long sheets of foil. Spray with Pam. Slide the Hawaiian Rolls horizontally as one, put the bottom side in the middle of the foil.
Spread your hamburger mixture on top of the rolls to the edge. Top with overlapping slides of cheese and pickles. (Could also put caramelized onions, Ketchup, Mustard on top.) Top with top layer of buns. Wrap in the foil and place directly on rack for 30 minutes. (I use a pizza peel to easily get in the oven and out.)
When it’s done, take it out and let it rest for a few minutes. Top with melted butter and sesame seeds if you’d like. Enjoy!
